Phoebe, 2.5D blooming flower idol: A listening guide

Phoebe (aka Phoebe Chan, Feebeechanchibi) is a singer, songwriter, and vtuber who performs her original songs and covers of anisongs on stage and online. This page is an overview of her discography that is meant to provide my own recommendations for getting started.

Albums and EPs

  • Rebloom: Best of Phoebe 2020-2025 is her most recent album and an excellent place to start listening. It has both new original songs and extra polished remakes of past favorites, including a solo version of a song originally performed by idol unit ♡BEAT. The first track, Bloom Again, is written and produced by Rasmus Faber (who also composed and arranged Emerald Planet and Hajimari no Fantasia from Ensemble Stars!!). Comes in digital, CD, and vinyl format. Favorite songs: 循環 (Circulation) [Solo] and Through the Microphone -Rebloom-.
  • All of My Life is her first ever album, released in 2023 digitally and in CD format. Very well-performed and cohesive in theme. Favorite songs: I Love You, Starlight and Start Again.
  • Chill Bee-Ts to Buzz to is her second EP, released in 2021. True to its name, it delivers a smooth yet sentimental listening experience. Favorite songs: Star Chaser and Be Mine.
  • Moon Garden is her debut EP, released in 2020. While it is her first release of original work, it doesn't lack in whimsy and fairy-like vocals and is very much worth a listen. Favorite songs: Whimsyland and Dream Quilt.

Just looking for singles?

If you really just want to try out a few of her original songs, she has several singles that stand well on their own too.

  • Wanna Be Honeybee is produced with Sasaki Kissa, a Japanese producer known for synthpop and electronic music, particularly his work on Punch Punch Forever. It aims for a denpa sound ("a type of Japanese music that is intentionally strange and catchy"), and its frenetic melody is catchy and charming.
  • Rainfall is a song that released during a particularly difficult period of Phoebe's career which I cried to more than once while struggling with my own losses. "Take on the downpour with Phoebe in her newest single, Rainfall, and find beauty in the struggle."
  • Your Harmony is credited with being made by over 20 creatives, including vocals from many of Phoebe's contemporaries. "It is bittersweet, a song about dreams, time, diverging paths, and, perhaps most of all, unyielding friendship."
  • Symphonic Sky released during the onset of the pandemic in the hopes of healing the world's pain. Soothing, uplifting, and newly remixed in Rebloom.
  • All of My Life, her dreamy, lullaby-esque second single. One of my personal favorites for when the world is too chaotic.

  • Evergreen Bloom, a song created in collaboration with AstralShift about Freya from Little Goody Two Shoes, who Phoebe is the English and Japanese voice actor for.
  • Lucid Dreamer, the credits song for in-development visual novel Lucid Dreamer by Grigs Studios, which Phoebe also voice acts in.
  • Harmonious Friendship, the theme song for in-development indie animation Strawbunny & Friends. Of course, Phoebe voice acts in this one too!
  • In My Garden, a fun and nostalgic song on the Miyolophone EP of the same name.

What about Ami Amami?

Ami is Phoebe's 2nd vtuber persona, formerly of Prism Project and currently on indefinite hiatus. She has one original song and several covers on her channel, of which I'll post my favorites.
